Street Commissioner Information

Riverlea is a non-charter Village, meaning that the structure of its government is determined by the Ohio Revised Code. The elected officials of the Village include a Mayor, six Council members, and a Clerk-Treasurer, each of whom serves a four-year term.

As chief executive officer of the Village the Mayor presides over all meetings of the Council, but does not vote except in case of a tie. The six members of the Council, including the Council President, constitute the legislative authority of the Village and are responsible for managing its finances and property. The Solicitor oversees the legal affairs of the Village is appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the Council. Other Village officials include a Planning Commissioner, a Street Commissioner, and a Web Manager, each appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the Council.
