Public Information

Architectural Review Board (ARB) meetings are held on the second Monday each month at 7:00 pm, pending the need to meet. The ARB does not do building inspection, only architectural review and zoning compliance. All Village residents are welcome and encouraged to attend the meetings.

Regular meeting: September 8, 2014

A meeting of the Village of Riverlea Planning Commission was held September 8, 2014 at 5830 Falmouth Ct. Members present were Michael Jones (Planning Commissioner), Jo Ann Bierman, and Robert Davis. Also present were Doug & Jill Cutler. Joshua C. Mehling served as Clerk. The Planning Commissioner called the meeting to order at 7:03 pm.

  1. The minutes of the Planning Commission meeting of August 11, 2014 were not read since each member had received a copy. Bierman moved and Davis seconded the motion that the minutes be approved as submitted by the Clerk. The following vote was recorded on the motion: Yea: 3, Bierman, Davis, and Jones; Nay: None. The motion carried 3-0.
  2. An application for a Certificate of Appropriateness by Doug and Jill Cutler at 43 W Southington Ave to install a stamped concrete patio in their back yard. The patio will resemble stone in appearance. There is currently lawn in the area that will contain the patio. There does not appear to be any issue with lot coverage once the patio is in place. Davis moved and Bierman seconded the motion to approve the application for a certificate of appropriateness as submitted. The following vote was recorded on the motion: Yea: 3, Bierman, Davis, and Jones: Nay, None. The Motion carried 3-0.

The Commission took no additional action. Bierman moved and Davis seconded a motion to adjourn. The motion was approved unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 7:10 pm.
