Ordinances Recently Adopted by the Riverlea Village Council

The Village of Riverlea recognizing the need for internal regulation adopted the ‘Code of Ordinances of the Village of Riverlea.’ These are available to our residents and to the general public on the Web site of the American Legal Publishing Corporation. This page is intended only to let our residents know of recent ordinances.

Ordinance 09-2015

WHEREAS, American Legal Publishing Corporation of Cincinnati, Ohio, has completed the 2015 S-6 Supplement to the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Riverlea, which Supplement contains all ordinances of a general and permanent nature enacted since the adoption of the 2010 S-5 Supplement to the Code of Ordinances of the Village; and Chapter 150, Building Regulations; Chapter 151, Zoning Code; and Chapter 152, Signs, and other chapters for the purpose of streamlining and updating the Code of Ordinances;

WHEREAS, American Legal Publishing Corporation has recommended the revision or addition of certain sections of the Code of Ordinances that are based upon or make reference to the sections of the Ohio Revised Code; and updated sections in accordance with changes in the law of the State of Ohio; and

WHEREAS, the Village Council completed a comprehensive review of Title XV,

WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Council of the Village of the Riverlea to accept these

Section 1. Adoption of 2015 S-6 Supplement. That the 2015 S-6 Supplement to the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Riverlea as submitted by American Legal Publishing Corporation of Cincinnati, Ohio, and as attached hereto, be and the same is hereby adopted by reference as if set forth in its entirety. The Clerk-Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to insert such Supplement into the copy of the Code of Ordinances maintained and kept on file by the Clerk-Treasurer as the official records of the Village. Such Supplement shall be deemed published as of the day of its adoption and approval by Council of the Village of Riverlea.

Section 2. Appropriation. That the funds necessary to carry out the purposes of this Ordinance have heretofore been appropriated.

Section 3. Open Meetings This Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this Ordinance were taken in an open meeting of this Council and that all deliberations of this Council that resulted in those formal actions were in meetings open to the public in compliance with law.

Section 4. Publication. That pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 731.25, the Council of the Village of Riverlea hereby determines that publication of this Ordinance in a newspaper is unnecessary and does hereby determine that this Ordinance, or a summary of this Ordinance, shall be published by posting copies of this Ordinance or a summary hereof in the five following places which are determined to be the five most public places in the Village of Riverlea, Ohio:

  1. The Circle on West Riverglen Drive.
  2. The Ravine Park on West Riverglen Drive.
  3. The Northwest corner of Beverly Place and Dover Court.
  4. Lot 75 on West Riverglen Drive.
  5. Lot 7 on West Southington Avenue.

Council of the Village specifically authorizes the Clerk-Treasurer, in lieu of the publication of this Ordinance and all of the attachment hereto, to publish a summary of this Ordinance and its attachment as permitted by Ohio Revised Code Section 731.21, provided that the Clerk-Treasurer shall deliver a complete copy of this Ordinance and its attachment to any person requesting the same upon payment by such person of the actual costs incurred by the Village to prepare such copy. Copies of this Ordinance or of the summary of this Ordinance shall be posted continuously in the above-mentioned places for a period of fifteen (15) days.
