Ordinances Recently Adopted by the Riverlea Village Council

The Village of Riverlea recognizing the need for internal regulation adopted the ‘Code of Ordinances of the Village of Riverlea.’ These are available to our residents and to the general public on the Web site of the American Legal Publishing Corporation. This page is intended only to let our residents know of recent ordinances.

An Ordinance to Approve a Modification and Realignment of Ordinance 04-2014, the Annual Appropriation Ordinance (Village) And to Declare an Emergency

WHEREAS, Council for the Village having determined that it has become necessary further to alter the 2015 Appropriation for the Village of certain funds thereof in order to permit expenditures that will fund fully certain activities of the Village, provided that such alteration will not cause the appropriations for such accounts and funds to exceed the official estimate of resources, all for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2015;

Now, therefore, be it ordained by the Council of the Village of Riverlea, State of Ohio, a majority thereof concurring:

Section 1. Amendment of Ordinance No.04-2014. That Ordinance 04-2014, the annual Appropriation Ordinance of the Village for the year ending December 31, 2015, is hereby amended by making the following amendments to the following identified accounts and programs in the General Fund as follows:

Section 2. Open Meetings. That it is found and determined that all formal actions of the Council concerning and relating to the adoption of the Ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and all deliberations of the Council and any of its committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements.

Section 3. Emergency; Effective Date. That this Resolution is declared to be an emergency measure, effective upon passage, and immediately necessary for the preservation of the health, peace, safety and welfare of the residents of the Village of Riverlea. Such emergency exists in that the Village because the appropriations need to be available immediately. Accordingly, this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after the earliest date permitted by law after its passage.

Section 4Publication. That pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 731.25, the Council of the Village of Riverlea hereby determines that publication of this Ordinance in a newspaper is unnecessary and does hereby determine that this Ordinance shall be published by posting copies hereof in the five following places which are determined to be the five most public places in the Village of Riverlea, Ohio:

  1. The Circle on West Riverglen Drive.
  2. The Ravine Park on West Riverglen Drive.
  3. The Northwest corner of Beverly Place and Dover Court.
  4. Lot 75 on West Riverglen Drive.
  5. Lot 7 on West Southington Avenue.

Copies of this Ordinance shall be posted continuously in the above-mentioned places for a period of fifteen (l5) days.Passed this 21st day of September 2015.
